Went here on a Friday night to order a couple of mozzarella burger combos and they were super friendly. Asked to make the burgers fresh, he said no problem and they made the burgers perfectly. We also ordered onion rings and sweet potato fries and they were also cooked very well. These guys know what they're doing!

This is your typical A & W not far from the highway exit of Appleby line off the QEW just north a block before Mainway.
They apparently have a 24 hour drive though which I didn't know but that's good to know if I ever have to work really late which isn't often but does happen.
From time to time they will have coupons in our lunch room and I happened to come across it just today. I decided to take the 2 Teens for 6 bucks deal and buy some fries on the side. The fries only come in one size which I thought was kind of unusual but that's fine. I really like the seasoned salt they have that you can help yourself to by where the condiments are.
I've had breakfast from here before too and they are pretty good sandwiches there too. -

We don't eat fast food very often but like A&W for a quick fix once in a while. The food is pretty standard but this experience really stood out because of great customer service! They were so sweet to my 3 year old son and even added a lollipop and 'fruit to go' on our tray. Very accommodating to modifications, and great deal with the coupons on their website. It was nice to have such great service at a fast food place.

So my after practice ritual is to muck a greasy burger and lately A&W has been my go to- better quality but more expensive. I like to think I get what I pay for. But as of late I've noticed something about this specific establishment that I just can't keep quiet any longer. My most recent encounter has just fueled me to write this passionate yet fair review. I just finished my meal and the only thing I tasted is disappointment with a dash of regret which is far from ok at this hearty price point. When I went to order my food they told me there would be a 15 minute wait for my first two choices (both burgers) so I settled for my third option- the three piece chubby chicken combo WITH chipotle sauce on the side. Now in fairness I made the rookie mistake of not checking the bag until I get home; which is something a fast food vet such as my self should know. Anyways I eat my chubby chicken and it's boring, reach for the fries and they're lifeless which would be ok if I had my chipotle sauce but it was not there! If you know me you know that it's the little things that matter and A&W certainly double dicked me there. Now this encounter wasn't the worst I've ever had but it seems to happen so often at this specific establishment that I feel like I should be partly to blame for supporting this establishment up until now. A&W on Appleby is about as consistent as Drakes love life so if you're like me and care about the details you should go to the A&W on walkers it's worth the hike. A&W on Appleby you've disappointed me. If you figure it out maybe you'll see me again but until then this is goodbye.
Sincerely- Chef Ramsey jr. -

Dang that door is hard to open in the wind! The cashiers are well-trained to upsell items e.g. the new apple pie (which tastes suspiciously like the one from McDonald's). Amex accepted. Bathrooms are tiny! Tables are small and functional. Clientele is mostly local workers. Service is fast and friendly. Haven't tried the drive through but will if this cold keeps up.
